Since 2019, Les Salaisons de l’Adour have been following a CSR program in order to include social, economical, environmental and ethical concerns in every step of our production.
In 2020, Les Salaisons de l’Adour are one of the only two companies with a CSR certification out of the 35 companies part of the Jambon de Bayonne consortium
We defend
animal well-being
We have chosen to work with industries that are implicated in preserving animal welfare. In relation with the quality certification labels, we tend to work ever more with professionals who favor natural breedings and who train their farmers to a more ethical raising.
Favor local production
We have always favored local productions associated with quality certifications.
We are committed to offer, as much as we can, products from producers in the South West. These products are the gastronomic heritage of our region.
Choosing to work with local companies and farmers also allows us to support employment, to help with the economical development of our region and to put forward local distribution channels protecting the environment.
Preservative free
In 2017, we modified our production process in order to stop using all kind of additives. This transition in favor of a healthy nutrition is very much in keeping with our will to offer healthy, local and high-quality products.
You’ll only find French pork meat and salt from Salies de Bearn in our 100% natural hams.
Protect the environment
As part of our CSR program, we try our hardest to control our power consumption and our waste (salt and fat), to limit plastic trash, and to use natural ingredient with no additives as well as to improve the welfare of our co-workers. Different processes and only one goal : protecting our environment.
